We collect information about you to provide a seamless ride-booking experience. This includes:
Account Information: Full name, verified mobile number, email address, and profile picture.
Driver Documentation: For Driver-partners, we collect government-issued IDs (Aadhaar/PAN), Driving License, Vehicle Registration, and Insurance details.
Transaction Data: Details of the rides you book, payment history (via secure third-party gateways like Razorpay), and invoices.
KarnaCab requires access to your location data to function effectively:
For Passengers: We collect location data when the app is running in the foreground to facilitate pickup and track ride progress.
For Driver-partners (Background Access): To ensure a reliable service, we collect location data even when the KarnaCab app is closed or not in use (background). This allows us to match you with the closest available passenger, track trips accurately for fare calculation, and provide real-time safety monitoring.
We use the data collected for:
Managing bookings and navigating routes.
Verifying user identities and ensuring security.
Providing customer support and resolving billing issues.
Complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only:
Between Users: Passenger’s name and location are shared with the Driver; Driver’s details are shared with the Passenger for ride identification.
Service Providers: With vendors providing cloud hosting, payment processing, and map services (Google Maps API).
Legal: When required by law to protect the rights and safety of our community.
In compliance with Google Play’s data safety policies:
Data Retention: We store your data as long as your account is active.
Account Deletion: You can delete your account at any time via the 'Profile Settings' in the app.
Web Request: If you cannot access the app, you may submit a formal deletion request at: https://karnacab.in/delete-account. We will process and delete all non-essential personal data within 30 days.
We use industry-standard encryption to protect data during transmission. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized partners who need it to perform their duties.
KarnaCab is not designed for individuals under the age of 13. If we discover we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, we will delete it from our systems immediately.
